14 year olds found during Central Pattaya Pub Raid
Customers as young as 14 year old were found as District Officers raided a Pub in Central Pattaya in the early hours of Thursday.
The raid took place at the Pattaya Club Route 99 Pub located behind Numchai Electronics off the Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya at 4.30am. Officers approached the club which was plunged into darkness moments earlier as workers became aware that a raid was imminent.
Although the Pub appeared closed officers were well aware it was open and went to a rear exit which allowed them to gain entry into the Pub. 300 customers were inside at the time and checks into staff and patrons began.
A total of 75 people were found to be aged between 14 and 19. 24 of the underage customers failed drug tests and a further 4 aged over 20 also failed a drug test which confirmed the presence of methamphetamine in their bodies. 3 people were found not to be carrying Thai ID cards and officers seized a quantity of Kethamine powder and Crystal Meth which were discarded on the floor of the Pub.
Khun Kittipong aged 40, the owner of the Pub, was arrested and the parents of the underage customers were summoned to the offices of the Chief of Banglamung District later on Thursday Morning for a stern lecture on their responsibilities in relation to their children.
Under Section 44 of the Thai Constitution, the Governor of Chonburi Province will now consider 6 offenses documented by the raid team and the venue could now face a closure of up-to 5 years.The Teenagers who did not fail drug tests were allowed to go free although the others will be sent to a Young Offenders Institute.
“Mute” Motorbike Theft Suspect arrested by Pattaya Police
A deaf and dumb motorbike theft suspect was arrested by Pattaya Police in Sriracha District on Thursday following the theft of the bike at the Bali Hai Port area on Sunday.
Police Colonel Sukthat, the Pattaya Police Chief, announced the arrest of Khun Sarawut aged 28, who is accused of stealing a Yamaha Fino Bike owned by Khun Tanit aged 30 who regularly parks his bike in the area as he works on Larn Island during the day and catches a ferry to the Island every morning.
On Sunday he parked his bike and began to walk towards the Port when he realized he forgot his key which was still in the ignition. He walked back to his bike which had disappeared.
CCTV showed a man and woman take the bike, less than a minute after Khun Tanit left his vehicle. Police were able to track the suspect and the stolen bike to an apartment complex in Sriracha.
Using a sign language translator the suspect indicated to Police that this was the first time he had stolen a vehicle and he intended to use it and not to sell it.
Police have charged the suspect with auto-theft and he awaits a Court appearance.

Coach driver dies at Coach Park in North Pattaya
On Sunday Morning the body of a 58 year old coach driver was discovered by a work colleague, on the floor of his coach which was parked in North Pattaya.
Police arrived and inspected the body of Khun Maroot who works for the Paragon Transport Company. At 7am he had taken a tour group to the Bali Hai Port for onward transport to Larn Island. He then returned to a Coach Park in Soi Petragoon in North Pattaya where he met with his wife. The pair ate together and then Khun Maroot went inside his vehicle where he intended to sleep for a few hours.
Two hours later he was discovered by a work colleague on the floor of his coach, near the driver seat and it was determined that he had passed-away.
His distraught wife returned to the Coach Park and told Police that her Husband was in poor health and was suffering from a number of ailments including High Blood Pressure and Diabetes.
Police suspect a pre-existing medical condition led to his demise and they await the results of a post-mortem examination which will confirm the exact cause of death.

Theft of money and valuables from Central Pattaya Fruit Shop owner
On Wednesday Morning a 39 year old Fruit Shop owner was tricked into leaving her shop which led to the theft of cash and valuables.
Police arrived at the fruit shop, situated in Soi 42 off the Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya and met with Khun Jantima who told Police how she was tricked into leaving her shop.
A Thai man arrived on a motorbike and informed the shop owner that he wanted to place a large order of Oranges but needed her to accompany him to see his wife to go through exactly what he wanted.
Khun Jantima was taken on the culprit’s motorbike to the front of the Pattaya Pat Condominium, 500 meters away from her shop, where she was told to wait outside while his wife arrived in their pick-up. She would then drive the shop owner back to the shop so the large consignment of fruit could be loaded on the back of the truck.
As Khun Jantima waited outside the Condominium, she received a call from her Mother who informed her that the man returned to the shop and pretended to purchase grapes and somehow managed to steal a bag containing 40,000 Baht in cash, some jewelry and Khun Jantima’s Bank Book.
Similar cases to this one have been reported to Police in the last 2 to 3 months and they believe the same gang are responsible for all of the reported crimes. No arrests in any of the cases have been made as yet.

1 dead 2 injured in single-vehicle fatal road crash on Pattaya Island
A 26 year old Thai Tourist from Bangkok died and two of her friends were injured as they travelled down a steep mountain road on Larn Island on Sunday Afternoon.
Police and rescue services attended the scene of the crash, near Samae Beach on the Island, just before 4pm. Khun Porntip was gravely injured and was rushed to a medical facility at the Island where she later died from her injuries.
All three of the victims of the crash arrived on the Island on 10th October and had come from Bangkok to enjoy a short holiday on the Island. They rented a motorbike and before the accident all three were on one bike and none of them were wearing safety helmets.
Police suspect a combination of high speed and a lack of road knowledge led to the crash which is thought not to have involved any other vehicles. The crash occurred as they drove down a steep and winding mountain road.
